Fulnex POS is a free till that tracks real stock as you sell — and Fulnex itself keeps your online store's warehouse in sync.
An invoice that is missing required fields is not merely untidy — if you are VAT registered, it can invalidate your customer's input tax claim, which is the fastest way to turn an admin oversight into a customer complaint.
A valid tax invoice carries the words 'Tax Invoice', the supplier's name, address and VAT registration number, the customer's details, a unique invoice number, the date, a description of what was supplied, and the amount with VAT shown separately. Leave out the VAT number and the document is not a tax invoice regardless of what it is titled.
A quote is an offer and creates no obligation to pay. An invoice is a demand and starts the clock on payment terms. Sending an invoice when you meant to send a quote reads as presumptuous; sending a quote when the work is finished delays getting paid.
Invoice numbers should be sequential and gapless. Gaps invite questions about the invoices that are apparently missing, and 'I deleted that one' is a poor answer during a review. If an invoice is wrong, issue a credit note against it rather than deleting it.

No. If you are not VAT registered you issue an ordinary invoice without VAT and without a VAT number. You simply cannot call it a tax invoice or charge VAT.
