How to Connect a Second WooCommerce Store (Multi-Store)

If you run multiple WooCommerce stores from the same warehouse, multi-store stock sync changes everything. One physical unit of stock can serve all your stores — and the moment one sells, the others update. This guide walks through adding a second store to Fulnex and getting them sharing inventory properly.

Before you start

  • Fulnex Growth plan or higher (Starter only supports 1 store)
  • First store already connected and syncing
  • Admin access to the second WooCommerce store
  • Cleaned-up SKU codes that match across both stores
1

Audit your SKUs across both stores

This is the single biggest reason multi-store sync fails. Fulnex matches products across stores by SKU. If Store A calls a product 'WPC-1KG' and Store B calls it 'wpc_1kg' or 'WPC_1', they won't share stock.

  • Export the product list from both WooCommerce stores
  • Compare SKU codes side-by-side
  • Standardize before connecting — it's much easier than fixing afterwards
Tip

Use the free SKU Generator to create a consistent SKU structure if your current codes are messy.

Confirm your plan supports multiple stores

Multi-store requires the Growth plan (R599/month, up to 3 stores) or Professional (R1,299/month, up to 5 stores). Check your current plan in Billing.

  • Starter (R149): 1 store only
  • Growth (R599): up to 3 stores
  • Professional (R1,299): up to 5 stores
3

Generate API keys for the second store

Log into the second WooCommerce store's admin. Navigate to WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API. Generate a new key with Read/Write permissions.

Important

Each store needs its OWN API keys. Don't reuse keys from your first store — they're tied to that specific store's URL.

4

Add the second portal in Fulnex

In Fulnex, navigate to Portals. Click 'Add Portal'. Enter the second store's URL, paste the new Consumer Key and Consumer Secret, and save.

What you should see

Fulnex tests the connection. You should see 'Connection successful' within a few seconds. The second store now appears in your Portals list.

5

Let the first sync run

Fulnex pulls the second store's products. If your SKUs match the first store's products, Fulnex automatically links them — they share stock from the same warehouse pool.

  • Matching SKUs: products get linked, stock pool is shared
  • New SKUs (only on second store): created as new products in Fulnex
  • Orphaned SKUs (on first store but not second): unaffected
What you should see

After sync completes, the Inventory page shows stock levels with both store names. Selling on either store will deplete the same stock pool.

6

Place test orders on both stores

Test the sync. Place a real (or test) order on each store. Both should appear in Fulnex's unified Orders queue within 5 minutes.

  • Open the Orders page — orders from both stores in one list
  • Each order shows which store it came from
  • Pickers see one combined queue, not separate ones per store
7

Verify stock decrements correctly

After a test pick on Store A's order, check that Store B's stock level dropped by the same amount. This proves the sync is working both ways.

What you should see

If both stores show the same (decremented) stock level after the pick, you've successfully set up multi-store sync. From now on, every order — from any store — pulls from the shared pool.

Troubleshooting

Some products show different stock levels on each store

SKUs don't match. Check both WooCommerce admin pages — the SKU field must be identical (case-sensitive). Fix the mismatched SKUs and trigger a re-sync from the Portals page.

I can't add the third (or more) store

You've hit your plan limit. Starter = 1 store, Growth = 3 stores, Professional = 5 stores. Upgrade in Billing if you need more.

Pricing is different on Store A vs Store B — does that work?

Yes. Fulnex only syncs stock, not pricing. Each WooCommerce store keeps its own product prices. The same SKU can be R299 on Store A and R349 on Store B — totally fine.

Sync seems slower with two stores

With multi-store, Fulnex pushes stock updates to every connected store after each pick. On Growth plan, expect 5-15 second delay per store. On Professional, 2-5 seconds.
